UNIVERSAL FEAR
Falling through the stratosphere
Rain on Earth seven nights
Wanderers and drifters
Flock to the impact sites
On the eighth day, Gods awaken
to observe religious swarms
Returning to their children
Vengeance in its purest form
Down from the night skies,
Unbeknownst they appear
Mechanical demons
Raging through the atmosphere
Civilians divert attention
to the apparent alien hordes
Still oblivious to their intentions
We see we’ve been forewarned
By writings on dark cavern walls
Deep within ancient crypts
We have ignored it blatantly
The warning of the apocalypse
Interrupted darkness
Of the most intrepid kind
Illusions that are fortified
By infuriated skies
History unfolds as opposing forces
Clash and synthesize
The carnivorous legions stalk their prey
With hunger in their eyes
Bloodthirsty and relentless
They form their killing wave
Humans fall helpless
There is no one to save
Down from the night skies
Unbeknownst they appear
Mechanized death crashing
Through the atmosphere
Aliens invade every city
Infiltration by cover of night
Darkness falls on the streets
There is not one human in sight
To destroy the human race
And inhabit our very land
Is their goal, for we have forgotten
The touch of their extended hand
Terrestrial annihilation…
Could this be our fate?
Terrestrial annihilation…
We see it’s much too late
Terrestrial annihilation…
A universal fear
Terrestrial annihilation…
Mortality ends here!
When I played the first song to my brother he said it was "such an anime opening" and I love how accurate that is.
I've listened to this album a lot on spotify for about 6 month, and I'm so glad I decided to spring for the CD. This album is SO GOOOOOD, you NEED to get it. June Egbert Is Valid
Duck your head when you're passing through the intersection of Retro Prog and Tech Thrash, lest you get clapped by the Hammers of Misfortune. Great stuff, and spooky. The more I'm listening the more I find myself fixating on the weird phased vocals and the scrabbly picking patterns in the guitars. Really interesting. Ghuughra
I just discovered this band. ..and this album simply by chance. I'm glad I did...well written...great visual lyrics. It's retro but not cheesy. So glad I got the last CD copy!! marcusalmightygemineye
