Get Away
I open up the door, I see you’re never there
Is it hard for you to show you care?
I tried to make myself turn and run away
But somethin’ chains me down and holds me there to stay
On and on, it’s just a game we play
You’re foolin’ with my heart, won’t you get away
On and on, it’s just a game we play
Someday you’ll pay
Won’t you get away
When I met you, you were always around
Now when I need you you’re nowhere to be found
You say you love me, but deep down I know
You’re cheatin’ me, you’re hurtin’ me
So now I’ve gotta, now I’ve gotta go
On and on, it’s just a game we play
You’re foolin’ with my heart, won’t you get away
On and on, it’s just a game we play
Someday you’ll pay, won’t you get away
I don’t want you here no more, yeah
I’ve had enough, enough of you
I don’t need you here no more
What you’ve done, I’ll do it too
I finally changed my mind, yeah yeah
Won’t you get away
On and on, it’s just a game we play
You’re foolin’ with my heart, won’t you get away
On and on, it’s just a game we play
Someday you’ll pay, won’t you get away
I said on and on, on and on, yeah
On and on, it’s just a game we play
(F. Bortolotto)
I just love this catchy riff-driven form of heavy metal. The singer's style really pairs well with the music and I also enjoy his Finnish accent. With album art like that I hope there will be more CDs! (Also check out Pull The Plug Patches for patches of this album, I'll definitely be buying one 🤟) 9RnK7
Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker
Absolutely in love with the full length album (check it out too!!) "The Conquest..." I decided to get the demo too. A bit unfair that I discovered the newest first, so this is biased in a way, but the demo definitely sets the solid ground for what is to come next. Wish Century a century of success !!! sachavonkarl74
So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
