Warrior of the Wasteland The most honest set of 80s Metal I've ever listened to. It's amateur, sure, but X-Caliber wears it on their sleeve and it makes the whole album. The real pulse of metal, coming from the industrial heartland of America. Well worth the vinyl. Music to fight for.

Luke Flail excellent reissue of a forgotten private pressed record. Now old school metal fans with smaller wallets can enjoy the record . Keep the killer reissues coming! Favorite track: The Sword.

Pentacontarca "In the darkness of the night
The warriors shall prevail
They must fight for the right
To flee the gates of hell
They must kill off the demons
And let their prisoners go
Trying to save all the women and children
And letting their courage show"

....that says ALL!!!
Masterpiece album! Favorite track: Warriors of the Night.

Runaway (Donegan, Yedlick) The reality of growing old Is not so far away As ageless time goes through my mind I let it slip away I search inside my head sometimes For answers that I need Seems I can't reach far enough Inside to find the key Chorus: And I'm a runaway I'm goin' from town to town Yes I'm a runaway I'm lost and never found Yes I'm a runaway Runaway I'm a runaway Runaway I dream of days gone by And think of yesteryear When life was much more simple When you were standing here And I search inside my head sometimes For answers that I need Seems I can't reach far enough Inside to find the key Chorus Solo Chorus Runaway I'm a runaway

Warriors of the Night Yedlick / Narration: Fleckenstein The components of the old system Became weakened by the forces of evil The rebels had destroyed them from within A new system was then formed From the best picked warriors In the known universe These spirits of everlasting life Had pulled themselves together And became invincible To all mankind In the darkness of the night The warriors shall prevail They must fight for the right To flee the gates of hell They must kill off the demons And let their prisoners go Trying to save all the women and children And letting their courage show In the break of day In the land of the old The hearts of the brave young warriors Never grew cold They fought for their freedom And fought for their rights But the bloody battle of life Would only be won By the warriors of the night (Chorus) The warriors of the night Fighting for love And fighting for the right The warriors fighting for love And were fighting for the right The warriors fighting for love And fighting for the right The warriors fighting for love And fighting for their right The brilliance of these members Together was like magic A spell no one could break except themselves These spirits wanted to share their enlightenments So they brought all of their ideas and talents Together to a whole But for them to be successful They must use their intelligence To overcome the black forces Which can destroy them Physically, emotionally And from within
3.
The Sword Donegan / Yedlick We drew our swords And went to war Fighting for our peace We took the time We drew the line But never did we cease The enemy we knew so well Just wouldn't let us be We had to fight to prove our might Survival was the key (Chorus) I pulled the sword from the rock Now I'm the one on the top I pulled the sword from the rock Now I'm the one on the top We won the war We paid the price With all our brave young men Letting children die in war Well it must a sin The enemy we knew so well Just wouldn't let us be We had to fight to prove our might Survival was the key
4.
Tell Me Why Donegan / Yedlick Years ago When we were young We played around We had our fun But times have changed They're rearranged We're different now We're not the same We're lost in life Playing silly games But you won't tell me If it's the same (Chorus) Tell me why Tell me why you love me Tell me why Tell me why you need me I'm thinking of you All the time Those memories Are etched in my mind I realize now The things we lack But time is gone We can't bring it back We're lost in life Playing silly games But you won't tell me Am I to blame
5.
Rock's Alive Donegan / Yedlick Rock and roll will never die Listen to what I say Cause rock and roll is still alive And it's here to stay Well music soothes the savage beast Trapped inside us all And music lovers, all of us, We'll never take a fall Chorus: Wo wo rock's alive Wo wo rock's alive Oh so many years ago When rock and roll was young People never realized That rock had just begun Well they said it was just a fad And it would go away But you and I know rock's alive And it's here to stay (Chorus) If you want it And you need it everyday Come on do everything I say, ya Have a good time, throw a party, Live it up We gonna rock and roll you Strut our stuff
6.
Don't Say Goodbye Donegan / Yedlick I see you everywhere Everywhere I go But you are blind to me Your eyes see me no more I hope I lose my sight When I think of you But I still see your face The face that I once knew (Chorus) (Don't say goodbye) They say love's a losin' game (Don't say goodbye) Either win Or you feel the pain (Don't say goodbye) This time babe I'm comin' back for you This time babe This time you won't feel blue I try to block you out I try to close my eyes But there you are inside of me With me all the time Now that I'm far away And you don't want me back I guess this is goodbye Goodbye, so long, goodbye (Chorus) So don't you send me away I'm comin' home to stay
7.
Told You Not To Run Donegan / Yedlick How you doin', standing there Well can you hear me? Do you care? Well I been down Now I'm ready to rock And I think about you baby, oh a lot Oh, oh I need your lovin' baby Oh, oh I need your lovin' baby (Chorus) I told you not to run I told you not to hide I told you not to run I told you not to hide I'm standing right here Looking at you Well can you feel me Feel what I do Well I been down Now I'm ready to rock And I think about you baby, Oh a lot Oh, oh I need your lovin' baby Oh, oh I need your lovin' baby (Chorus) I told you not to run Don't run away from me I told you I'm the one Don't run away from me
8.
Someday Donegan / Yedlick Someday we'll be together again We'll rock and roll forever my friend We'll live our lives as free as a bird We'll soar so high and never get hurt (Chorus) Someday Oh wo someday Oh wo someday Cause freedom, oh freedom, Is so hard to find You're so wrapped up in policy All the time Don't let your life pass you by While you're still young and free So take a chance You'll never know Just what you might be (Chorus) Someday

about

X-CALIBER formed in Irwin, Pennsylvania back in 1984. These five young heavy metal knights; James Yedlick (guitars), Kevin Donegan (vocals), Bruce Fleckenstein (bass), Jerry Conrad (guitar), and Donnie Lee Poland (drums)would set out upon a quest to realize their vision and rock and roll fantasy. Against all odds and disbelievers, they battled furiously and gallantly. The result of their trials would be the self-produced 'Warriors of the Night' LP released in 1986.

Since the album's release three decades ago it has become the Holy Grail to many collectors and has been known to fetch hundreds of dollars.

Now all these years later finally this gem will see a proper re-issue and first time ever on CD remastered from the best possible sources by Jamie King at The Basement Studios North Carolina.
