lyrics
elations
I see the cycle coming
I see the writing on the wall
Call it psychic, call it a vision
Get ready for the fall
Long ago it was written
A prediction of then and now
Mark for mark and step by step
The book of why and how
(Chorus)
Ooo… look out!
Ahh… look out!
You know the price that you’ll pay
For all your wanton ways
Give me this, oh give me that
A holocaust of plagues
Let me lead you, I have done it
Learn from my mistakes
Some were good and some were bad
Hidden in the closet of fate
(Repeat Chorus)
Ooo… look out!
Ahh… look out!
Can you see it?
I can feel it.
Can you touch it?
I can hear it.
Do you want it?
No, I can’t bear it!
Ah!
I see the cycle coming
I see the writing on the wall
Call it psychic, call it a vision
Get ready for the fall
Long ago it was written
A prediction of then and now
Mark for mark and step by step
The book of why and how
(Repeat Chorus)
Ooo… look out!
Ahh… look out!
Ooooo
Look out!
Look out!
Look out!

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
Members of Napalm Death and Benediction swap razed-earth grind for old-school heavy metal, with screeching vocals and soaring riffs aplenty. Bandcamp New & Notable May 27, 2020
If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse
